  4. Good morning HG14.

I hope you are all enjoying Sparkle Day today. Alicia decided to donate some extra money to the Tiana Reidy foundation today in honour of a friend of hers Lucas Marchio who like Tiana passed away just before his 5th Birthday and a week before he was due to begin school. I heard from Lucas’ mum this morning who told me they met Tiana and remember her gorgeous laugh. I hope you all can celebrate their lives today and remember how special you all are for helping raise awareness and funds for all children who are going through the rough battle of cancer.

I’m so very proud to be associate with you and thank you all for supporting these precious children.

    Terri

Right now at school we’ve been learning different things in the past week, like explanation writing pieces and digits, I’ve learnt digits up to 1,000,000,000, 000 (trillions)! But I’ve got the most exciting news, I’m going to meet Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton! I’m one of the select 5 students out of each class from years 3-7! I was wondering wether you guys could maybe send me a letter?

  8. Hey you guys, I’m really sorry that I haven’t been able to write to you guys, I’ve been caught up in a lot of fun things at school, I had an excursion to science works, a project showcase for infinity and beyond, a zoo came to us and we got to pet lots of animals like a kangaroo, snakes, lizards, birds, frogs, turtles and koalas, I’m working on a project right now and it’s got a lot of things in it that are exciting such as, a scale model of the Amazon rainforest, a poster and an experiment, we’re going to have another showcase called Feathers, fur and leaves, I heard from Nivi that you guys have been doing projects for marine life and other things, I hope they are really fun, I did a keynote for my project on Pluto for infinity and beyond, that’s like a PowerPoint for iPads, I went to Writer’s festival, I think Alicia’s mum got me wrong, it was for an excursion, at school we have this competition called the H-Factor and I auditioned and got in but I didn’t get into the finals, and plus you can audition to sing the national anthem I sung it twice even though they have the modern anthem that has another verse and an aboriginal beat, and, you won’t believe this, but I’m moving to the middle school, because my new school is divided from kinder, to the junior school, that’s where I’m at, it goes from prep to 4 then there’s the middle school that goes from 5 to 7, and I think they’re building a new school, senior school for the 8 to 12s there’s been lots of construction at my school for the senior school, next year’s grade 4 portables and the next year’s grade 2 portables. Any ways, since I’m moving to the middle school we 4s get to have a big ceremony where we get awards and certificates there’s a barbecue and no toddlers or infants allowed! We’re also going to sing Que sera by justice crew and for transitions we stay at the middle school for the last week of the year and on the last day of term we go to fun fields. I forgot to mention, at the middle school it’s just like high school, we have our own lockers and the lockers have locks and codes, we have to go to different classes instead of staying in the one class, there’s a cafeteria where you can sit and eat lunch, you can join clubs and we have to take responsibility for ourselves.
It’s really fun here, I miss you guys lots and I hope Ilya has fitted in nicely and made new friends. Love you guys, Amanat.
